Halloween 2012

Treat or tricking is not new but here in the Philippines there are still some parents who don't engage in such Halloween celebration. I have nothing against them because it is there own decision and they have a great and valid reason for not doing so. Anyway, I myself haven't engage yet in such activity with the little kiddos. It's not that I don't want to but since Baby Basty is still young at the moment I just pass the treat or tricking activity for this year and I am looking forward for next year. Even if the little kiddos and I do not go out to do treat or tricking we still make it a point to have our own Halloween party at home.
And for this year's costume the little kiddos dress up as,
Cute Puppy (Baby Basty) and Kikay Rockstar (Baby Sophia)

This year's party is one of the greatest that we had so far because aside from the usual games for kids, we also have one for the kids at heart, hehe. It is not like we need to get our hands with some Taylor Swift Tickets and Pink Concert Tickets or go to one of Maroon 5 Concert to really enjoy the day. Anyway, we played Pinoy Henyo and a nameless game which made me go crazy thinking of what to say next.

Sharing with you some more photos from our Halloween party.
Baby Sophia as Kikay Rockstar
Baby Basty as Cute Little Puppy
The little kiddos at the party
Fooooooooods!
I know it is still early for Halloween 2013 but I'm starting to conceptualize the next costumes that Baby Sophia and Baby Basty will be wearing especially when we go treat or tricking.

How was your Halloween and what did you dress up for the event?

LOVE DESSERTS: Let Loose of Stress

$

0

They say that STRESSED when spelled backward equates to DESSERTS, thus the decision to go and indulge with LOVE DESSERTS unlimited offer. I must say it is one of the best decisions I ever made – not thinking of the additional weight that I’ll get. I've wanted to try Love Desserts since late last year but it was only last March 15, 2013 that my office mates and I decided to finally go and try it out.

Our work shift are not fixed - the usual 8am to 5pm - therefore we opt to visit Love Desserts at around 7pm while those whose shift is until 8pm will just follow. None of us ate dinner because we want our stomach carry everything that Love Desserts will cater all of us,

Anyhow, Love Desserts unlimited desserts is priced at Php 199.00 and is limited to two (2) hours of stay. Also, for Php 199.00 you will be able to enjoy eating unlimited desserts such as cakes, ice cream, crepes, coffee and more.

Below are some photos of the food although I'm not sure if they have the same menu everyday.

Pastries Table @ Love Desserts
Halo Halo and Milk Tea Station @ Love Desserts

Ice Cream by Big Scoop @ Love Desserts

Crepe Station @ Love Desserts

Toppings for Crepe or Ice Cream @ Love Desserts

Aside from desserts they also serve a few non-dessert food so you'll not be fed up with all the sweet treats.

Dynamite and Sylvanas @ Love Desserts

Nacho Ala Love Desserts

FOOD: Delicious except for the Graham Cake and Crepes. It'll be better if the Graham Cakes were kept refrigerated and as for the Crepes the syrups that they use are too sweet.

VENUE: Very accessible but the place itself is too small especially if you are going to visit as a group. They have WiFi but I wasn't able to connect even with the correct password.

PRICE: Very affordable but not recommended if you are bringing your kids with you. Discount for kids depends on their height or something like that unless you are going to avail of their regular price item then Php 199.00 is still worth it.

#PHVote

Yesterday marked the day that will supposedly give the Philippines another chance of hoping that things will get better soon and that change will finally come. Honestly, I am one of the many Filipinos that keeps on hoping and is open to changes.

I am proud to say that yesterday I exercised my rights to vote and be heard. I may vote only once but at least my vote still counts.

As far as partial results are being shown, I am a little disappointed that some unworthy candidates made it to the top list but who am I to judge. Majority of Filipinos haven't learned their lessons just yet and still opt to vote candidates because of popularity, family name, influence and the likes.

I just wished to not hear any complaint on how our country is still suffering from its old illness because in the first place majority of people voted for them and gave them their position. As for me, I shall do whatever I can to contribute on making the Philippines a better country. I will not sulk and rant on the country's status but rather engaged in positive actions that will have a positive result.

Further, I have two wonderful kids whose future is still yet to be unfold. By that, I shall not depend to the future government alone but instead have my own way to give them a better future that they both deserve.

Anyway, I am still hoping that there will be a drastic change with the result thus giving us a better one. I still believe with the saying: "save the best for last." I shall not give up hoping that someday I will be waking up to a bright morning filled with betterment but for now I shall hope and work hard for a better future.

Oh well, this is just me simply saying how disappointed I am with the results that are being shown.

I'm still proud that I voted yesterday unlike some who didn't even bother to vote at all because they have this thinking that their vote is already useless. As the saying goes: "make every vote counts," and that's what I just did even if I know that some of my candidates will not make it to the list. Sad but true story.

I think most of you already know how addicted I am when it comes to reading books from what I just shared from my previous post. Moving forward, I've been into reading again and I am just proud to say that in a span of a month or 2 I was able to read a lot of books already. I'm going to share some of the book titles that I remembered and hope you'll be able to find time to enjoy reading some of them as much as I enjoyed reading them.

I'm currently reading the third installment of the Crossfire series: Entwined With You. Just to share with you all, I'm using Aldiko for reading ebook on my android phone. I think I shall give a review on that app really soon, hihi.

That's all for now and I'm going to finish reading the story of Gideon and Eva now.

PS. I just installed my new blog template and hope you can help me improve it more by leaving a comment below.

HAUL: June and July

I've come to realization that ever since I started working I wasn't able to do some treat shopping for myself just because I chose to prioritize the needs of my little ones. Nevertheless, I started buying stuff for myself - not grand ones but stuff that says, "job well done!"

Here are some of the hauled items for the months of June and some from July.

The Face Shop
Just so you all know, I am a self-confessed nail polish collector when I was in college but after I graduated and got banned from using nail polish on my previous work I stopped and all of my nail polish got all dried. Anyway, I starting to build my nail polish collection and I prefer buying some of my nail polish and nail polish remover at The Face Shop.

Their nail polish remover smells like bubble gum or something like that.

Solemate
I prefer wearing flats than heeled shoes and thank God for Solemate for offering cute flats at a very affordable price. I've also bought 2 (two) sandals last January 2013 which I posted on my IG account, check them out here and here. Although the sandals are not part of the "Any 2 for 399.75" promo but the price is still worth it.A matter of fact, I am still using both up to until now.

Nichido
Uhmmmm! Just because I run out of blush-on and I'm feeling like trying out new shade of lippies, hihi! Oh! Blush on is in the shade of Blushing Pink while the lippies is called Rasberry Float. Both at priced at Php 88.00 each.

Daiso / Japan Home
Daiso / Japan Home
Daiso / Japan Home
Daiso / Japan Home
Made a great haul at Daiso / Japan Home. Well who doesn't if the price ranges from Php 66 to Php 88 them I shall go buy all the cute things that I can find.

EO Executive
Finally decided to wear contact lens and I just found out that I my eye vision is now on grade 375 - not sure is for both eyes but per my lens grade I have the same grade on both eyes so I'm assuming that 375 is for each eyes already.

That is everything and I surely will share more hauled stuff in the coming days or months. Hope you had fun and don't forget to follow me on instagram for daily updates, @angievianzon

Mission Accomplished Says Army Navy

"Come in hungry, walk out happy" - Army Navy's mission

I've waited for almost two or three months before hubby and I tried eating at Army Navy just because whenever we go to the mall the kids are always with us. Anyway, hubby and I decided to finally go out without the kids and satisfy our cravings for Army Navy.

For a first timer, we ordered the usual Freedom Fries (Php 75.00), Libertea (Php 75.00 large), Burger (Php 165.00) and Steak Burrito (Php 195.00) with extra Sour Cream (Php 40).

Freedom Fries

Libertea

Burger

Steak Burrito
We spent a total of Php 625.00, if my computation is right, but it was all worth it because food servings are way too generous and the taste is just so awesome that hubby and I didn't bother to speak with each other because we are so busy munching on our food. I wasn't able to take more decent photo of the food because I am so hungry plus I am to engage in every bite I made with my burrito.

Here's a fun fact while we are eating, I made use of fork and knife to eat my burrito, which shouldn't be that way, because it was way to big to fit my mouth and I am scared to create a big mess if I attempt biting on it.

Overall, we will be going back again for another round of Army Navy goodies and maybe try other food from their menu. Definitely, "MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!"

A little proof that someone enjoyed his Army Navy Burger.

Up Next: Project Sexy

I just gained a lot of weight during my pregnancy and wasn't able to loose those extra calories due to my sedentary lifestyle. As you all can see, I work 8 hours a day for 5 straight days as an email support associate which only means that almost all of my time at work was spent sitting in front of a computer and do proper escalation regarding client's concern. Anyway, the only exercise that I can do it walking and running around the house to clean up the mess that my kids made before I got home from work.

Moving forward, since I am such a foodie my weight dramatically increases every time I eat (obviously) and aside from that weight gain I've become the old asthmatic me. To be honest I have no idea about BMI and such but I can pretty tell that I'm already beyond the desirable weight because of the asthma attacks that I've been encountering. Another changes that I saw was the fact that some of my clothes does not fit me at all or if they fit then it doesn't look good with all the bulging here and there. That's when it hits me on staring a project which I will call Project Sexy, not very original but it does suit the current situation.

Anyway, I have a lot of plans going on in my little head but I shall be focusing on the following first:
  • Enroll on a gym
  • Walk/Run
  • Zumba from home
  • Jump rope
  • Change eating habits
I've already saw a gym which is a good distance away from where I currently live and I plan on just walking from home to the gym instead of riding a tricycle. The walking will serve as a warm-up after all. By the way, the gym that I saw is accepting a per session basis meaning you'll only pay every time you visit. Oh! And it only causes Php 50.00 per session.

I guess I shall be sharing with you my road to fitness from day 1 but for now I need your help regarding the music that I should save on my mp3 so I can listen to them while doing my workout. You may leave your suggestions on the comment box below.

Hope you can join me on my project.

  4. I think I have OCD.
  5. I was once active in sports and dancing until I started working.
That's about it. I sure still have a lot of random facts about myself to share but as of now I'm limiting it to 5. Also, I can't wait to read about yours so hit my comment box and I'll read your 5 random fact.

{REVIEW} Glamworks Green Tea Nose Pore Strips

$

Hello looooooves! For today, I shall be sharing to you a review in connection with my Drug Store Haul blog entry and our first review will be about Glamworks Green Tea Nose Pore Strips.

I'm really afraid to try any skin care product with a simple reason that I have a very sensitive type of skin. I remember when I used a very well know and recommended product my face immediate got a breakout. I didn't actually mind it at first knowing that you'll need to at least use a certain product for about a week or two for it to work effectively. Unfortunately, my breakout got worse and decided to just stop using the product. Moving forward, even with the bad experience I still manage to encourage myself to buy and try new products that will eventually help my skin problem.

I was really excited to use any nose strip product when  found out that a bad situation is building up on my nose and to be honest I do prick my nose area just because I am so annoyed with all the bumps I am seeing. Hence, nose strips are included on my list of what to look when I got to Watsons.

I actually saw a lot of nose strips but since Glamworks' price is way cheaper than the others I kind of bought it already. By the way, Glamworks Nose Pore Strips are also available in Classic and Charcoal but I got the Green Tea because I am curious and well because its Green Tea, LOL!

"Glamworks Green Tea Nose Pore Strips instantly remove pore-clogging dirt, oil and blackheads. Green Tea has antibacterial properties that help thoroughly cleanse your pores. It also helps reduce the apperance of pores with regular use."

What does this product do in particular? According to the box it,

  • Instantly remove blackheads
  • Antibacterial action
  • Clears away dirt
  • Unclog deep pores

Using it is simple as A-B-C, I use mine every night after I'm done with my night bath where I use Glam Works Foaming Acne Wash in Tea Tree Oil to was my face. Anyhow, basically all you have to do is to leave your nose area wet then open a sachet and peel the nose strips off the plastic liner then stick it to your nose. After about 10-15 minutes (I actually wait until the strips already dried out) you can already start stripping off the strip. Please do not force yourself if stripping hurts you, remember that if the stripping stings then simply wet your nose until the nose strip went off.

Here's the before and after look of the nose strip. Oh! A little reminder, the after picture is a little gross but I don't care posting it because it only proves that this product do really works.

Before

After

My verdict on this product:
  • Really affordable. The box is priced at Php 99.00 and contains 12 sheets which will last for a month or two. Actually it will last depending on how you use it. I use mine once a week which means I'll be using it for approximately 3 months or so
  • Smells really good. I'm not sure about the Classic and Charcoal variant but this one really does smells like Green Tea which I really really like
  • It actually strips off both white and black heads which I think is pretty cool
  • Really easy to apply although it stings at first but the sting is tolerable
  • Each nose strip is individually packed which is really nice because you will only have to open the ones that you are going to use.
  • Available locally, you can purchase it at any Watsons branch near you.
If you are going to ask me if I am going to continue using the product after I consumed all 12 strips, I would say yes. I'll probably try the other variant but I honestly love this one though.

Let me know what you think on this product by leaving your comment below.

Sophia and Basty
For Bebengisms Birthday Cyber Party

Hey guysssss! Since I'm done with 5 facts about yourself, I kind of felt like doing another set but this time it'll be about the little kiddos. I'll make this a short one, hence, I'll be sharing 5 facts about them in collective form. Maybe I shall do a separate blog entry for their individual 5 random facts.

Anyway, let us all start to get to know more of Sophia and Basty.

FACT NO. 1
Both of them loves the water but hates going in the pool. Okay, I know it is kind of weird but they would rather get inside a batya (laundry basin) than be in a pool.

FACT NO. 2

Both of them are milk tea addict just like their mom, haha. They prefer the winter melon flavor more than the other choices. If you are thinking of buying a milk tea for yourself then better think again because these little kids will be hovering and will even get and own your milk tea.

FACT NO. 3

Both of them have their own bad habit which I am actually having a dilemma on how to stop them. Sophia loves to pinch the person beside her as for Basty, he will not live without his cow stuffed toy. He will always bring the toy everywhere while thumb sucking.

FACT NO. 4

Both have the same sleeping position and I am pretty sure that they got it from me, hahaha! Awww, aren't they the cutest and the most behave kids ever. By the way, once they are already sleeping deeply their sleeping position will be going everything. They are like all over the place, haha.

FACT NO. 5

Even if they fight like cats and dogs, they still love each other and really care for each other. Sophia may be a little stubborn but at the age of 3, she already know he duty as the eldest. Well, as for Basty his still a baby but even if he is still a year old, he can comprehend easily and adapt to his environment very quickly. It's like both of them are already older than their true age.

Hope you enjoyed my random facts about Sophia and Basty and to be completely honest there are still a lot of facts that I would love to share but maybe I can do another round of random facts on my future blog entry.

Do you have kids or maybe younger cousin? Mind sharing 5 random facts about them? Just leave me a comment and would really love to read your version.

Vanilla Cupcake Bakery

Hey everyone! Welcome back to my blog and today I shall share to you my review on a local store named Vanilla Cupcake Bakery. For those readers who are following me on instagram, I bet you already saw some of the photos that I took from when we visited Vanilla Cupcake Bakery. It was actually a spontaneous visit thus I wasn't able to take a lot of photos but hope you'll still enjoy reading my review.

I first heard/saw Vanilla Cupcake Bakery from my friend Kath through her shared photos on IG and immediately fell in love with the store ambiance. Although we both live in Quezon City, she works at Makati and assumed that the store is only located within Makati area thus setting my mouth-watering mind away from the idea that I'll be able to visit the store the soonest possible. Since the universe love me that much, I found out that they also have a store in Trinoma. The happy kid inside me suddenly went to life and did a cartwheel for hearing the good news. Yes! I am that excited, LOL! Anyway, my sister-and-law along with Baby Sophia went to Trinoma to test it out for ourselves.

Photo above is one of the cutest things that will welcome you when you enter the store along with the counter and of course the different cupcakes displayed on their counter. Aside from that you'll also see their cutiepatotie waiting area which I wasn't able to photograph.

The store has this Cath Kidston inspired interior/theme which I think is really posh and girly. For the guys out there, have no worries because you'll still look good once you are inside the store.

Since we are in a rush to head home, we just opted for the cupcake instead. Yes, Vanilla Cupcake Bakery also offers other food such as starters, pasta, etc. Below is a photo of their menu which I got from their Official Facebook Page although I am pretty sure that prices are not legible.

Vanilla Cupcake Bakery Menu

Moving forward to my story, while waiting to have our orders taken. By the way, ordering can be done in two ways: a.) while you are already sitting on your designated tables and b.) over at the counter area. Anyway, Baby Sophia picked the Bubble Gum Cupcake, Gracyy went for the Carrot Cupcake, and I opted for the Classic S'mores Cupcake. Aside from the Cupcake we also ordered some drinks, Grace ordered Kiwi Passion Fruit Juice and I got Strawberry Iced Tea. I totally forgot the prices but cupcakes are sold below Php 100.00 while drinks are sold depending on the type of drink but the one I ordered is less than Php 100.00 too.

For the verdict before I photo spam you, haha!

  • AMBIANCE: Posh/Girly and very laid back which is good if you want to catch up with what is going on with the lives of your friends.
  •  PRICE: Honestly, I find it reasonable although I only ate a piece of their cupcake but from what I saw the serving on their other food are very generous.
  • TASTE: Their cupcakes are really delicious. Icings are not to sweet while the cupcake itself is really moist just the way I like.
OVER-ALL RATING: I will definitely be going back for more even if there is there is no WiFi, haha. Who cares about WiFi if you will be totally glued on the food at hand.

And now for the photo spam, haha! Enjoy.

Hey loooooooves! For my 50th blog entry (wohoooo!), I'm just going to quickly brag my Starbucks Card which I recently got. I know I know, I am such a late bloomer (or maybe not) but the barista kind enough to inform me that I can avail the card but too bad I forgot his name. Why am I bad in memorizing names? LOL. Anyhow, I am still clueless on how this card works but according to the very nice barista I can go to any Starbucks and load up the card then use it as a debit card or something.

That's about it and I promise to get more information on how this card works so that I'll be able to share the same with you. For those who already have an idea on how this thing work, please feel free to share your thought on the comment box below.

Hey loooves! Welcome back to my blog and thank you for always coming back. Anyway, I've been looking forward to the month of October since the not-so-good experience last September 16, 2013. It just really break my heart that September 16 will be a bittersweet date for me. I am totally shoving that bad experience aside and will now try to focus on a more positive things that will happen to me. I shall make sure that I will fill October and the coming months with a more positive attitude thus only entertain positive vibes to my life.

Oh well, aside from the moving on and positive attitude. I am also excited for October because almost all of my favorite TV series will resume with either a new season or a new episode. Here are the list of my most awaited TV series,
  • Walking Dead
  • Ravenswood
  • The Vampire Diaries
  • The Originals
  • The Carrie Diaries
There is actually a long list of TV series premiering this month and aside from those I listed above, I think I will be looking forward on watching other series. Visit TV.com for the schedule of your favorite TV series as well as the new ones that will be aired this month.

Also, I think I am going to start being more productive by learning a few things such as web development and personal make-up application. I don't know! The list of all the things are endless but I promise to sort them out and will definitely share my October list of to-do's on my next update.

That's it for now and let us all welcome October with an open arms and wish that this month will be more awesome than last month.
